Presidents & Chairladies Academic Recognition Program
2019/2020 School Year
OBJECTIVE: To recognize K-12 students for their outstanding scholastic achievements.
ELIGIBILITY: K-12 Students who are affiliated with COGIC, and meet the specified requirements as listed below are eligible to apply. Students may enter in one or more categories.
CATEGORIES: Outstanding Grade Point Average: For students with a 3.0 GPA or above during the term. The parent/student must submit a completed Academic Recognition Program Application, report card showing the student’s grades for the application term. Grade point average (GPA) will be calculated as a means average of the grades earned. Each grade will receive the following point allocation: A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0; if number grades are used rather than letter grades, they will be averaged at face value. In the case of Advanced Placement classes, a weighted GPA will be considered using the following point scale: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, F=1.
Citizenship Award: For students demonstrating outstanding character or citizenship traits (Anti Bulling Award, Citizenship Award, Principal/ Dean Charter Award, etc.) Proof of citizenship award must be emailed with the application.
Perfect Attendance: For students demonstrating perfect attendance; proof must be submitted.
APPLICATION TERMS: Applications along with proof of GPA, citizenship, and perfect attendance will be accepted by email to Chairlady Shawn Humphrey at idahumphrey@hotmail.com . Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
